When a holiday looms, we can be forgiven for wanting to take a break from city-life and escape to the beach or countryside. If you’re looking for a weekend away this july 4th, these five destinations make for a very sweet summer session out of town.

THE GRAHAM & CO, CATSKILLS

A word on the hotel: The Graham & Co can best be described as Brooklyn meets The Catskills. Founded by four NYC & Brooklyn natives, this 20-room hotel in Phoenicia, New York is a rustic-come-modern take on your classic weekend away in the mountains.

Aesthetic: Unpretentious, rustic, and idyllic.
