THE BEST OF PRADA RESORT 2020
words by DANIELLE RANSOM• Fashion
As the world leans towards camp and extravagance, Miuccia Prada makes a case for simplicity. And part of that appeal was a return to traditional silhouettes that wouldn’t look amiss in a 1970s wardrobe.
The highlight of the 40-piece collection was the striped button down shirt, one of my favorite styles and a wardrobe staple. My favorite part was seeing all of the different ways Prada styled this menswear classic juxtaposed against traditional feminine silhouettes like prairie dresses, midi skirts and preppy plaids.
Prada revisited the fashion staple in a smart way that created the illusion of a waist without actually altering its natural boxy shape. It’s the the kind of shirt you could style a million ways without diluting its timeless appeal.
Here are my favorite looks from Prada’s 2020 Resort show.
