GET THE BASE RIGHT AND YOU CAN GO FROM DAY-TO-NIGHT IN NEAR FUSS-FREE FASHION.

Life is a rush. Literally. I know I am always in one: set to office, office to home, home to airport, airport to set; sometimes with an event or dinner thrown in the middle. Easy, transitional styling is then the super important trick I often fall back on. Get the base-layer right, and with as little as 3-steps, you can transform your casual day look into a fun and polished night-time ensemble. No one need know how little effort you really put in.

A bodysuit (like those from Alix) goes with just about anything and makes the perfect base for your day-to-night looks. Paired with a legging (I cannot go past my beloved high-waisted SPANX), and your foundation wardrobe is set. Cat Woman was onto a good thing.

A swift change of blazer, alternate a loafer to a mule and add a bit of sparkle (courtesy of an Ermanno Scervino beaded tee) and your dinner date will never know you took all of 10-minutes to get ready. Style sometimes really can be that simple.
