THE COAT TRENDS TO MAKE WINTER DRESSING A BREEZE

a great coat is not only your shield to the frost; a great coat is a symbol of style, character, and even mood. An investment item that can really make an outfit.
The Camel Coat
A classic in outerwear, the camel coat is a staple for a reason. Camel is timeless, unassuming, and works with almost any color palette. Perfect for the woman who wants to look chic, but isn’t ready to commit to a statement color or bold print.
As daring as spots and stripes may seem, an animal print can act much like a neutral - and an animal print coat can bond with any outfit as well as your go-to black number. You just have to trust it.
Winter doesn’t have to be dull. While there may be little you can do to about grey skies, look to illuminate the dark with your wardrobe, and add a bold trench. Block colors are the answer to the winter blues.
Tartan (or plaid, if you’re from the US) makes a statement of effortless-cool.
For the daring among us, an idea coat speaks to personality. If you’re not one to follow the rules, why should your outerwear?
If you’re a lover of a classic trench, consider investing in a leather version. Colour and tone are the difference between an elevated evening look or a casual weekender.
Similar to a leather trench, a military-inspired coat can look elegant adorned over evening wear.
Much like the puffer, the raincoat is often seen as a ‘need’ not ‘want’ item. But it doesn’t have to be so cut and dry. Look for a trench style, or get creative with a completely transparent version that shows off your personal style underneath.
