When it comes to treating skin concerns, I find serums are key. I usually use one serum for day and one for night, to target particular concerns. If I had to pick three favorites: Opening Act, Rescue Diver, and Firm Conviction – layered in that order.
Opening Act
Much like the name suggests, Opening Act is a first taste of the theatre to come. This gentle exfoliator resurfaces my skin and leaves me feeling instantly luminous and glowy. If you suffer from pigmentation concerns (like me) or uneven skin, this is a serum for you. I try to use this elixir just 2-3 times a week, to allow time for the natural oils in my skin to build between applications. Contrary to what many think, not all oil is deemed bad.
Rescue Diver
I follow up with my lifeguard against dehydration – the Rescue Diver. It has a silk-like texture and the smell is fresh and fruity. This is a truly deep diving serum and helps plump away pesky fine lines around my eyes and mouth, and leaves me feeling rejuvenated and a little less thirsty.
Smooth Player
If I am continuing to layer, Smooth Player is the ultimate anti-wrinkle serum. This soft and creamy serum gets to work on eliminating my dry areas, all the while illuminating dullness.
A three-tier approach is usually all that’s needed for my skin to feel like it has a new lease on life, but if I’m still thirsting for a little more, I keep the layers coming.
Firm Conviction
Most of us have experienced that dreaded phase where your face feels like it’s falling to your chest; well Firm Conviction is an instant lift without the needles. This serum tightens my cheeks and gives me that taut, post-facial feeling – but with a velvet touch.
Oily skin types take note: this is your serum solution for when the natural elasticity in the skin starts to succumb to the realities of aging.
Skin Meditation
When life gets a little chaotic, I try to bring an element of mindfulness to my beauty routine. Skin Meditation is a silky smooth and light serum that helps to counteract the signs of life’s stresses.
